When you think about 2014, what comes to tour mind? I can clearly say, that what google thinks is
about "Robin Williams" (RIP) who was the most searched item of 2014. However, mostly you didn't think about him (duh), maybe you thought about your surprise birthday party, or about your (horrible) ex-boyfriend/girlfriend, or when you win a championship, and if this is the matter, high five! Cause that’s what will always came first to my mind when thinking about 2014, Binational Games.

Every year in November, around 12 SACS schools meet in a hosting school around the country to play either Basketball or Soccer or Volleyball both in men and women. I am part of my schools volleyball team, and the year before (2013) we lost the final, however this year it was our revenge, and we wouldn't be happy with anything else than the championship. It all started on November 17 when under 35 degrees Celsius we would be playing to one of the best teams, CNG. It was an easy 2-0, but we did know we should really care about that team, it was probable we will meet with them again. The next two days were basic, we were in the group stage and we passed first ones. Our cross was with a school from Barranquilla which we farewell with a 2-0. The next day would be the semi-final against the local school, Panamericano, and things got complicated then.

It was Friday November 21, and the semi-final game was in the school at about 10:00 am. We arrive pretty early and we were calm. The time arrived, we started, 30 minutes later we were losing 0-1. We played terribly, however, "team work, makes dream work" and we could win 2-1 and attend next day the great finale against no one else than CNG. I will only tell you we started at 11:30 am and finished at 5:00 pm the game, rain and rain postponed what I would call my greatest happiness of 2014, the tittle of Binational Champions, plus later in the closing ceremony I was rewarded with the "best setter" award. How can't you be unthankful with such an exciting year? So, what is the first thing you think when you hear 2014? Well, just let it go, because the best is just yet to come in what we will call 2015.
